The Pfister Racing Team will again participate in 2015 in the European Touring Car Cup (ETCC), part of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
The European Touring Car Cup (ETCC) is part of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). The racing events take place in Central Europe. Besides BMW, the following brands are also involved in the series: Chevrolet, SEAT, Volvo, Alfa Romeo and Honda.
In the 2015 race season we also plan to use a Citroen C2 S1600 ETCC race car.
Citroën C2 VTS, 1.600 ccm, 186 hp, 4 piston braking system VA, adjustable wheel suspension, STACK data system, air jack system, exhaust fan system and WRC Kat, EFI injector system, throttle housing 60 mm.
In 2007, while driving this car, Thomas Mühlenz became champion of the 2nd division of the ADAC PROCAR / DTC.
Further information can be found on the FIA ETCC webpage. The races respect the slogan “real cars – real racing”, showcasing powerful wheel-on-wheel duels and battles to the last centimeter. A successful participation to the European Touring Car Cup is considered to be a springboard into the World Touring Car Championship, as well as into the DTM (German Touring Car Masters).
The race car – SEAT Leon Copa
The race car SEAT Leon Copa has 300 HP and is powered by a turbocharged engine. It is a DSG (direct shift racing gearbox) fitted with limited slip differential. SEAT has been successfully using the “Leon” model in the World Touring Car Championship for several years now. More information can be found on the SEAT SPORT webpage.
